We had a fantastic location at the show right in the centre of all the walkways in the heart of the livestock sections.
Des Dunne provided the 2 fantastic heifers on the stand and the stand was manned by myself and Des.
Over 60,000 people attend the show.
There was a great interest all day from 8.30am until 6.00pm. By the end of day even after we had the signs taken down people automatically new what the breed was which is what it is all about making them a household name here in Ireland.
There was also a large interest in crossing belties by suckler farmers. Farmers were very eager to find out if at some stage if there would be a beef bonus scheme for belties.
We distributed hundreds of leaflets re: the breed, its beef and semen listing.
A few called to the stand who recently purchased belties and was nice to see the younger generation getting into them.
Was so busy talking all day forget to take photos of people on the stand during the day oops!
The Club again is very thankful to the Belted Galloway Society and the Tullamore Show in helping us organise this again.
