Registration

Registration with the Society is the means by which an animal’s breeding is checked and verified, allowing a pedigree certificate to be issued, which proves the animal’s parentage.  It is the responsibility of the breeder whose farm the calf was born on, to fill in the registration form and send it off to the Society.  If an animal is bought or sold at a later date the certificate is returned to the Society by the purchaser for amendment showing them as the new owner.  There is a £5 transfer fee for this, which is paid by the new owner.
